Then, plates were incubated for the indicated times (in min) prior to cell harvest and fast disruption with an Eaton press. The unicellular cyanobacterium Synechocystis PCC6803 was grown at 30°C in liquid BG11 medium enriched with Na2CO3 (3.78 mM, final concentration), under continuous white light of standard fluence (2,500 luxes, i.e. 31.25 μE.m-2.s-1).
